who
Since 1989, in various forms, my work has been
about creating conversational and collaborative environments that
facilitate learning and action.
I co-founded Walk & Squawk Performance Project and served as its
Co-Artistic/ Producing director from 1994-2006. My hybrid approach to
community building and social media draws from my work as a director,
writer, teacher and producer. I've worked with partners from the
commercial, non-profit, government and education sectors, creating
community-centered art and civic dialogue projects that connect people
across geographic and demographic boundaries.
I look at social media as an opportunity to facilitate engagement and participation that loops from online connections to face-to-face experience and back again, deepening community relationships and the exchange of ideas. And I work to make the language of new technologies accessible to people who aren’t technologists.
